The Kaolack Research Brigade, commanded by Chief Warrant Officer Modou Ndiaye, put an end to the terror of a gang active in gang theft committed at night with the use of means of transport. The gendarmes of this elite unit of the Saloum company arrested four criminals including three burglars in Mbour according to Seneweb.

The commune of Mbar located in the Fatick region was the scene of an act of banditry. On the night of December 17 to 18, six criminals robbed a store, taking away the safe containing the sum of 40 million CFA francs.
Alerted to the facts, the gendarmes of the Colobane Proximity Brigade (Saloum) under the direction of Commander Séye opened an investigation.
It appears from the file that one of the burglars climbed through a window to gain access to the store. Once inside, he destroyed the padlocks to open the doors.
The Colobane gendarmes requested the assistance of their colleagues from the Kaolack Research Brigade (BR). The latter succeeded in identifying the suspects thanks to their proven expertise in the field of criminal investigations.
The leader of the Gang Amadou Ka residing in Ndoukhoura Peulh, in the commune of Diamniadio, was located as well as his gang. Elements of the Saloum BR arrested C.Sow residing in Mbar. Questioned in the minutes, the latter admitted to having provided the leader of the gang, Amadou Ka, with information on his neighbors’ store.
The gang’s informer received a commission of 250,000 CFA francs after sharing the loot. C.Sow was unaware, he said, of the overall amount taken during the attack.
Confronted with the results of the requisitions and other elements of the investigation, C.Sow collaborated with the justice system as part of the continuation of the investigations.
Thus, a gendarme came into contact with the gang leader Amadou Ka by setting a trap for him.
Not suspecting anything, the boss Ka showed up, aboard his new Peugeot 406 vehicle, at the meeting place in Saly where he was arrested along with the gang marabout, H.Ka, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecution.
Faced with a fait accompli, Amadou Ka handed over to investigators his sidekick A.Dabo who was picked up in the Oncad district of Mbour on December 30.
Subsequently, the Kaolack Research Brigade (BR) made the four members of the gang available to their colleagues from Colobane Saloum for the continuation of the investigation.
The latest news is that gang leader Amadou Ka, charlatan H.Ka, C.Sow and A.Dabo were referred last Friday to the Fatick high court. The four accused are being prosecuted for criminal conspiracy, group theft committed at night with break-in and use of means of transport. The two members of the gang on the run are wanted by the gendarmerie.
