From Migros to Nestlé via PrimeEnergyCleantech or Vetropack, Le Temps looks back for two weeks on the Swiss companies that marked 2024, companies whose difficulties reflect current economic issues and challenges.

Install photovoltaic panels on building roofs and resell the electricity produced in a sustainable manner, with the blessing of Bertrand Piccard’s Solar Impulse foundation. PrimeEnergy Cleantech brought together all the ingredients of a local success story. This constellation of elements has also attracted several hundred French-speaking savers, convinced of putting their savings to work for a good cause, while collecting reasonable interest along the way. Then things went wrong.

On October 18, PrimeEnergy Cleantech warned its investors that it was preparing to go bankrupt. Twelve days later, several hundred of them gathered in a Carouge restaurant to try to understand. Some had invested a few tens of thousands of francs, others several hundred thousand, sometimes by mobilizing all or part of their 2nd pillar.
