On the proposal of the Minister of Communication, Telecommunications and Digital Affairs, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, signed Decree No. 2024-3401 formalizing the appointment of new members of the National Audiovisual Regulatory Council (CNRA ). These appointments, which take effect from December 11, 2024, will last for a period of six years, non-renewable and non-revocable.
Here is the composition of the new CNRA team:
Mouhamadou Diarracultural actor, appointed as a qualified personality in the arts, succeeding Pape Faye.
Papa Mamadou Tandiana former civil servant and holder of a master’s degree in economics, represents associations of elderly people, replacing Ibrahima Sané.
Hour Bocar Ly-Tallsociologist and holder of a doctorate in sociology, joins the CNRA as a qualified personality in the literary world to fill a vacant position.
Salif Saneteacher-researcher in public law, becomes the representative of the university community, succeeding Djiby Diakhaté.
Maimouna Makoar Dioufsociologist and activist committed to the cause of women, is designated by women’s associations, in place of Ndeye Marie Diedhiou.
Malick Ciré Syjournalist and president of RADDHO, now represents human rights movements, replacing Mame Balla Guèye.
Papa Madiakhaté Sarrjournalist and communications manager at the Pikine Departmental Youth Council, is appointed by the National Youth Council to replace Khadim Diop.
Oumar Diouf Falljournalist specializing in audiovisual communication, takes the place of Lucky Patrick Mendy as audiovisual professionals.
