Patrik Laine madness has taken hold of Montreal, the Finn hitting the target in his first two duels in the Canadian uniform, a first since 2009.
The most fervent supporters of the Habs will remember the start of the season when Brian Gionta scored in his first two games. Making his first moves with the CH, the American and future captain notably gave his team victory in overtime against the Buffalo Sabers on October 3.

The most surprising thing is that Travis Moen imitated him by shaking the ropes in his first two meetings in Montreal. Little recognized for his offensive prowess, the left winger threaded the needle against the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Sabres.
During this famous opening game against the Leafs, Moen even threw down the gloves twice, first against Jay Rosehill then against Mike Komisarek.
Laine is the first Canadian player in over 15 years to score in his first two games with the team. He did it each time on the power play, against the New York Islanders and the Nashville Predators.
