The first downhill training of the season took place on Tuesday evening and Marco Odermatt is already at the forefront. The Nidwalden took 2nd place in the initial test at Beaver Creek. Arnaud Boisset will be at the start of the event in Colorado.
Without much surprise, Marco Odermatt is in the mix. After his elimination in the first round of the Soelden giant, the latest World Cup winner wants to immediately set the record straight at Beaver Creek. He proved it during the first downhill training by taking 2nd place behind the astonishing Miha Hrobat, 0″61 behind the winner. Just behind at a hundredth, we find the rival of the Nidwalden, Cyprien Sarrazin. In the end, we can almost say that Marco Odermatt won this session since the Slovenian missed a gate, like many runners elsewhere. Justin Murisier (12th at 1″34) is one of them.
Other Swiss skiers also showed themselves to their advantage. Starting with Arnaud Boissetexcellent 8th in this timed test (+1″19). The last place still to play
There is still a tenth place to be filled in the Swiss ranks. She will either return to Urs Kryenbühlor at Joshua Mettlertwo skiers in great difficulty for this first in the United States. Hoping that other cancellations will not disrupt this program. Remember that last year the two descents planned at Beaver Creek did not take place due to wind and snowfall.
