Mikaela Shiffrin must take a break after her fall in Killington. The American said Monday that it will take ‘at least a few weeks’ to be operational again.

On Saturday, while she was on her way to her 100th World Cup victory at the giant Killington (United States), the 29-year-old skier fell. She suffered several bruises and a deep wound to her abdomen.

‘It feels like a stab and I have quite severe muscle trauma throughout my right region. I hope to be able to ski again very soon,’ Shiffrin wrote on her social networks.

Feller also on forced rest

Manuel Feller, winner of the slalom World Cup last season, must also wait before returning to competition. The Austrian will skip the giant of Beaver Creek this weekend, as the Austrian Ski Federation confirmed on Tuesday.

The Tyrolean was eliminated in his first three races of the season and suffered a minor hip injury in a fall in Gurgl. He will be there again in mid-December in Val d’Isère.
