The duo at the head of the National Rally (RN) decided over lunch this Monday, preserving its image as an “anti-system” party and rejecting a double opportunity: that of claiming victories for their electorate, and of strengthening public opinion news that the economic elites have about them. They announced that they would table a motion of censure following the use, Monday, December 2 afternoon, of article 49.3 by the Prime Minister to have the “Secu” budget adopted and that they would add their votes to the left to vote for the one tabled by the New Popular Front.
Winning the senior vote
The “deal” would nevertheless have borne Le Pen's name: Mr. Barnier's latest setbacks, on the increase in the electricity tax and the dereimbursement of medicines, are attributed to him. For the latter, the former European Commissioner wrote on Monday noon, in a press release on Matignon letterhead mentioning his telephone discussion with Marine Le Pen. In doing so, the Savoyard also complied with the formal requirement demanded by the far-right leader. This final outstretched hand granted the request expressed in the columns of La Tribune Sundayof a “discharge on the deindexation of pensions or on the non-reimbursement of medicines”.
