Premiums issued by insurance and reinsurance companies reached more than 45 billion dirhams (billion dirhams) at the end of September 2024, up 4.8% compared to the same period a year earlier, according to the Authority of control of insurance and social security (ACAPS).
These premiums are distributed across the “Life” (+4.1% to MAD 19.64 billion) and “Non-Life” (+5.3% to MAD 25.36 billion) branches, specifies ACAPS which has just published the statistics of the technical activity of insurance and reinsurance companies.
In the “Life” branch, the “Death” and “Epargne-supports Dirhams” segments recorded respective increases of 4.8% to 2.59 billion dirhams and 3.3% to 16.18 billion dirhams, while the “ Savings-supports Units of Account” increased by 17.7% to 861.5 million dirhams (MDH).

As for the “Non-Life” branch, premiums in the “Automotive” segment exceeded 11.83 billion dirhams (+5.7%), while technical risks showed the largest drop. (-12.1%) to 293 MDH.
Furthermore, the Authority also reports an increase in acceptances of 10.2% to 639.2 MDH.
