El Jadida – Moroccan coach Lamia Boumehdi led TP Mazembe to their first coronation in the CAF Women’s Champions League against AS FAR (1-0), Saturday at the El Abdi Stadium in El Jadida.
The coach of AS FAR, Mohamed Amine Alioua, predicted it well: “This final will be different from our meeting in the group stage” which ended in a victory for the capital team 3-1 .

At the end of this final, the president of the African Football Confederation, Patrice Motsepe, accompanied in particular by the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaâ and the president of TP Mazembe, Moïse Katumbi, proceeded with the presentation of the Cup at TP Mazembe and medals to the teams having occupied the first three places.
The Egyptian team of FC Masar took 3rd place in this competition, after its victory, Friday in the classification match, against the Nigerian Edo Queens on penalties (4 to 3, 0-0 regulation time).
