It will continue to blow tonight, to the point that Météo-France has issued an orange “violent winds” alert for six departments, which will be effective from midnight and for the day of Monday, November 25.
This concerns Haute-Loire, Puy-de-Dôme, Loire, Rhône, Allier and Saône-et-Loire. According to forecasts, the south wind will strengthen overnight over the Massif Central and as far as Saône-et-Loire. Gusts of 90 to 100 km/h, or even 110 km/h in Haute-Loire, are expected.
Monday morning, strong winds will also blow south of Lyon and in the Gier valley, again with gusts exceeding 100 km/h, up to 120 km/h locally.
The squalls will calm down during the morning on Monday in the Pyrenees, but we will have to wait until midday to observe the same calm in the Massif Central, or even mid-afternoon in Lyon, the Gier valley and the Saône. -et-Loire.
