Rabat – The 11th edition of the Visa For Music festival ended in style, Saturday evening at the Mohammed V National Theater, to the rhythms of varied musical colors.
Thus, the audience was there with the Arkai duo from the United States, an innovative electroacoustic music group, composed of Jonathan Miron (violin) and Philip Sheegog (cello).
The duo delivered a captivating musical performance, singing original pieces from their album “Crossroads”, combining modern sounds, soothing ambiances and powerful riffs.
Subsequently, the audience was immersed in a fusion of classical Arabic music melodies, traditional folk sounds and modern styles such as rock and electronica from the Jordanian band “Albaitil Ashwai”.
Characterized by an original and coherent sound identity, the trio group composed of Qais Raja, Feras Arrabi and Saif Abu Hamdan brilliantly performed “Samaa” and “Asr Al Dalu” in perfect symbiosis with their fans.
The energy of the audience immediately rose to a crescendo with the group “Moneka Arabic Jazz”, made up of four artists from Iraq and Canada, who delivered a breathtaking show full of overflowing atmosphere, through hits mixing jazz and blues with African rhythms and Arabic melodies.
With their captivating and multicultural musical fusion, the group did not fail to enliven the audience, filled with the varied musical styles of their titles “Aman” and “Ya Ghayeb”.
And to end the evening in style, the Moroccan group “Urban Folklore” took the audience on a journey through a daring fusion of jazz and modern music, while integrating contemporary sounds, embodied in their featured track “Phenomena”.
Salim Akki (drums and vocals), Hakim Belayachi (electric guitar), Khalil Bensouda (bass), Michael Bougon (saxophone) and Mourad Belouadi (flute) make up this talented group.
Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the 11th edition of Visa For Music (November 20-23), the unmissable event for music from Africa and the Middle East, welcomed more than 1,000 music professionals. the music industry and more than 500 artists from all over the world.
Founded in 2014 at the initiative of the ANYA cultural agency, this event is a real crossroads for players in the music scene, offering a program adapted to music lovers as well as the curious in search of discoveries with meetings, showcases, conferences and workshops distributed in different emblematic places in the city of Rabat, all located close to each other.
