Mauro Poggia: “A cantonal cost compensation fund would bring the transparency that is lacking”

While Geneva is looking for a solution to the surge in health insurance premiums, exploring an alternative fund model, the federal Bern will in turn embark on such an exercise. During the last parliamentary session, States Councilor Mauro Poggia managed to bring together a majority around a postulate. The elected representative of the Geneva Citizens’ Movement (MCG) thus pushes the Federal Department of the Interior of Elisabeth Baume-Schneider to explain the interest of letting the cantons organize themselves, by giving them the possibility of creating a compensation fund for costs.
