In a long letter, several Red Devils fans addressed the national team players. In it, they discuss, among other things, the reason for the whistles during the match against Ukraine.
It’s a message that could well galvanize our Red Devils for the rest of the Euro. Through an open letter to the players, several supporters expressed their feelings about the Belgian team’s performance so far.
“They return in particular to the whistles which took place after the match against Ukraine (0-0) on June 26.”You have accustomed us to good play, to being dominant, to being on the move (…). How can we explain the lack of desire, the lack of grit, during the first and last matches? (…) How to explain these last two corners against Ukraine? (…) It’s all these questions that pushed us to whistle at you, because you are capable of much better!“.
Nevertheless, the letter ends with words of encouragement for the rest of the tournament. “Dear Devils, this is far from being a letter of apology, but it is a letter of encouragement, a letter that aims to rally you to our common cause: to win this Euro. We will once again be present in large numbers in Düsseldorf this Monday, we want to find our talented and aggressive Devils and we will be the first to encourage you (…)”.
