Heirs of economic empires placed in police custody

In a case that is shaking Casablanca’s elite circles, three descendants of powerful business dynasties were placed in police custody, by decision of the investigating judge of the Aïn Sebaâ criminal court. This procedure comes following serious accusations made by a French national and her Moroccan partner, relating to acts of rape and kidnapping during a private evening in Casablanca.

The judge mobilized the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ) to carry out in-depth investigations into this sensitive matter. According to information obtained by Hespressone of the individuals implicated is the son of a prominent billionaire, at the head of a large professional association, active in several investment sectors, notably agro-industry. Another suspect is the heir of a giant operating in the pharmaceutical sector in Morocco.

The events at the heart of the investigation allegedly took place during a private party in Casablanca, where renowned businessmen and influential celebrities rubbed shoulders. The complainant, a lawyer by profession, was allegedly the victim of a violent sexual assault. Her fiancé, who tried to intervene, described the maneuvers of the attackers, claiming to have been himself held against his will.

Currently in , the victim plans to return to Morocco to give her testimony before the judicial authorities, thus providing additional insight into this complex case. Her fiancé, the main complainant in these proceedings, was cooperative with investigators by providing key details, including the alleged location of the events and the identity of one of the main instigators.

However, the case remains marked by discordant statements from the defendants, one of whom claims that the relationship with the victim was consensual.
