Despite the visit of American envoy Amos Hochstein to Lebanon to discuss the proposed ceasefire and the end of the armed conflict between Hezbollah and Israel, the situation on the ground is such that clashes between the two belligerents are increasing and the Lebanese army continues to be the target of attacks.

On Wednesday morning, Bourj al-Moulouk (Nabatiyé) was subjected to heavy artillery bombardment. A Lebanese soldier lost his life and two others were injured after their vehicle was targeted by Israelis.

Israeli military planes launched a raid near Bazouriyé. This attack was accompanied by artillery bombardments on the coast stretching between Mansouri and Ras el-Ain, south of Tyre, amid intense flights of drones and reconnaissance aircraft.
Artillery bombardments were also reported around Majdel Zoun and Bayada.

Also in South Lebanon, the villages of Kfarchouba and Khiam were shelled. The Israeli air force launched a series of raids on the surroundings of Naqoura, Aïtit, Zebqine, Al-Hoch (Tyr) and Qana. Military planes also targeted two houses in Aïn Baal and Maaraké, killing two people. In Zefta, where rubble clearance work ended at 3 a.m. on Wednesday after an attack on a home, three dead people were found.

During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, the Marjeyoun plain was subjected to violent attacks and flares were fired there, while Israeli planes flew over the region at low altitude, launching thermal balloons.

On Tuesday evening, the Chamaa-Bayada axis was the subject of intense clashes between Hezbollah and Israeli forces who were trying to advance in this sector and bypass Bayada with the aim of surrounding Naqoura. In an attempt to resist this maneuver, Hezbollah fired rockets towards Jewish state soldiers and destroyed a Merkava tank.

In Tyre, the town of Jouaya was the subject of a series of Israeli raids targeting several residential buildings.

On Tuesday evening, Israeli warplanes struck homes in the village of Yohmor el-Chkeif as well as the Iqlim al-Touffah area of ​​Khiam, Debbine, Aintata, Zaoutar el-Sharqiyé and Mayfadoun. Several casualties were reported. In Sarafand, three Lebanese soldiers died after an attack on the center of the Military Intelligence Authority and Northern Command. Seventeen other people (civilians) were injured.

According to a press release from the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, published on Wednesday, a French patrol operating within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) was exposed to fire on Tuesday. However, no casualties were reported.

For its part, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for an attack against Israeli infantry forces in Hounin, using a guided missile. Soldiers were also targeted in Marj (near Wadi Hounine). Several drones launched from Lebanon crashed in the Western Galilee, causing no casualties. Alarm sirens also sounded in Acre and Haifa as well as other cities in northern Israel after drones were detected.

In Israel, and according to Channel 12 of the Hebrew State, a building was directly hit on Wednesday by a salvo of rockets launched from Lebanon in the direction of Kiryat Shmona.
