Unusual personality, incredible success, personal torments, the life of Coluche has never been a long, quiet river. The C8 channel highlighted the artist in the documentary, Coluche, the true story of a guybroadcast this Friday November 22.

Viewers were able to immerse themselves in the major stages of the life of the creator of the Restos du Coeur. He had multiple facets, multiple talents, but also gray areas. The report notably returned to its separation from Véronique Colucci with whom he shared his life for twelve years. Together they had two sons, Romain and Marius. Coluche was not just the generous comedian we know. He also had very invasive demons…

Coline Serreau says more about Coluche's excesses

In the documentary, Coline Serreau, filmmaker and friend of the couple, revealed a painful truth: “She went through hell with him.” This admission highlights the extent to which the excesses of Coluchebetween alcohol, drugs and sleepless nightsimpacted his private life with his wife Véronique Colucci.

After years of excess of all kinds, she had enough. In 1980, Véronique Colucci took a radical decision : that of leaving Coluche and leaving with their two children. Coline Serreau is not the only one to have admitted this frenetic pace. Pierre Chérèze, another relative, described: “We got home at least at eight in the morning… It’s not a life.”

For Coluche, this departure was a real emotional tsunami. His friend Robert Charlebois looked back on this period when everything was collapsing around him: “He was drug addict, divorcedhe missed his children… He could be bad”. In the 80s, it was also the period when he presented to the presidential electionsa historic moment.

A heartbreaking song for a broken heart

It was then that Coluche used his pain and sadness to write a song which is called Foul sun, according to the words of composer Ramon Pipin. This title was performed by Renaud and the lyrics say a lot about his despair after the departure of Véronique Colucci.

“I have not loved as you left. I felt my head hit the pole. You wanted us to remain good friends. I can no longer see myself in the photos.”had written Coluche, proof that he was having difficulty turning the page and getting back on track. And as you know, the actor is died in June 1986 following a motorcycle accident.
