Al Hoceima – The keys to 10 school transport buses were handed over on Monday in Al Hoceima, for the benefit of several municipalities in the province, on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Independence Day.

During this ceremony, held at the headquarters of the province of Al Hoceima, the governor of the province, Hassan Zitouni, handed over the keys to the school buses acquired within the framework of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH ) for the year 2024, for a total cost estimated at 3.8 million dirhams (MDH).

This initiative, which should benefit nearly 6,000 students per year, aims to contribute to efforts aimed at supporting children’s schooling, combating school dropouts and encouraging students from rural areas to continue their studies.

This service has benefited approximately 25,200 students.

It should be noted that the provincial human development committee (CPDH) approved, for the year 2024 and in partnership with the provincial council, a project aimed at supporting the management of school transport in the province, with a contribution of the INDH of 3 MDH intended to cover the costs linked to this service.

In a statement to MAP, Mr. El Marahi emphasized the particular attention paid by the INDH to the development of the school transport service, in order to support the schooling of students, particularly girls in rural areas, while by reducing the burden of expenses borne by families to enable their children to continue their studies.
