Fabien Galthié revealed this Wednesday the team composition of the French XV for the last meeting of the fall tour, against Argentina, Friday at 9:10 p.m. Grégory Alldritt is not on the sheet, he is replaced by Charles Ollivon in the center of the third line. Marko Gazzotti takes his place on the bench. Léo Barré is the holder.
The adage that says “you don't change a winning team” doesn't work every time. After the prestigious success gleaned last week against New Zealand (30-29), Fabien Galthié made several changes within his team composition to face Argentina, during the last match of the fall tour. This Friday (9:10 p.m.), the Blues will appear at the Stade de France without Grégory Alldritt. The Rochelais is not on the match sheet, as the coach announced this Thursday in Marcoussis. In difficulty against the Blacks, Alldritt gave up his place in the 48th minute of play.
Return of Cros, first for Gazzotti
After having repositioned Gaël Fickou (against Japan) and Charles Ollivon (against the Brave Blossoms and New Zealand) on the sidelines, Galthié this time decided to completely remove one of his executives from the match sheet major. The first two mentioned will be in the starting line-up for the clash against the Pumas. The center retains his place with number 13, alongside Yoram Moefana. The third row takes advantage of Alldritt's absence to be aligned as number 8, for the very first time in his career in blue. The RCT player and former French captain will be surrounded by Paul Boudehent and François Cros, back after his concussion suffered against Argentina.
Atonio back, Barré too
Another surprise: Léo Barré replaces Romain Buros at full-back. While the Bordelo-Béglais had been his first selection against the Blacks, Galthié decided to restore his confidence in the Parisian, who had participated in the Tournoid es 6 Nations 2024 and in the match against Japan at the beginning of November. As for weight reinforcements, there is that of Uini Atonio. Hit in the calf, the Rochelais did not take part in the first two matches of the XV of France. He trained normally this week and is back at number 3. A reinforcement at the best of times when Tevita Tatafu was injured against New Zealand last week. Georges-Henri Colombe, who played 71 minutes against the Blacks despite illnessmaintains its position with the “finishers”. In a 6-2 bench, we can also note the first of Marko Gazzotti. The Bordelo-Béglais is one of the beneficiaries of Alldritt's absence. Alexandre Roumat, who started last week, is also on the replacement side.
