Dorian Rossel will replace Robert Sandoz in 2025. The Swiss director, very active on the French-speaking stages and in France, will be the second director of the Théâtre du Jura, in Delémont. He was able to convince the institution with his personality ready to integrate into the team. “This candidate has experience in team management and a clear desire to continue the momentum initiated by Robert Sandoz,” the foundation board stressed in a press release issued on Thursday.

Established in the Geneva region, the almost fifty-year-old plans to settle with his wife in the canton of Jura, said the founding board of the Théâtre du Jura. Known on the French-speaking scene, Dorian Rossel was born in Zurich in 1975, grew up in Morges (VD) then studied in England, Grenoble and Geneva.

He earned his living as an actor in the theater, in the cinema or as a clown in hospitals. Dorian Rossel explains that it will be a continuation of the work accomplished so far. “I am convinced that this is the right artistic project and the right time for me,” assures the future director quoted in the press release.

Robert Sandoz from Neuchâtel will leave the Théâtre du Jura to succeed Robert Bouvier at the head of the Théâtre du Passage, in Neuchâtel.
