The situation in Palestine, exacerbated by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, has provoked numerous reactions on the international scene. The Kingdom of Morocco, thanks to its peaceful relations with Israel and the Palestinian Authority, has demonstrated unprecedented efficiency in the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian populations. This innovative approach clearly differs from the methods of other nations, notably Algeria, whose actions and criticisms on social networks lack substance and concrete results.
Under the aegis of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco was able to transport aid by land directly to Palestine, a privilege derived from the peaceful relations that the kingdom maintains with the parties in conflict. Unlike airdrops, which are often limited in their effectiveness, this method guaranteed rapid and safe distribution of essential resources. His Majesty’s pivotal role as Chairman of the Al Quds Committee was instrumental in opening this land route, a feat that even the world’s great powers could not accomplish. This direct, considerable intervention, implemented by the Sovereign himself, contrasts sharply with the absence of comparable actions on the Algerian side.

Morocco, faithful to a tradition of solidarity, has maintained various humanitarian operations in favor of the Palestinians. For example, the aid operation for the civilian populations of Gaza in March 2024, the support provided during Ramadan in Jerusalem, and the ongoing efforts of the Bayt Mal Al Quds Agency, represent all concrete and sustained actions. Efforts that far surpass the minimal contributions observed on the Algerian side during periods of intense conflict.
Relays affiliated with the Algerian regime have continued to focus on Moroccan-Israeli relations, in a clear attempt to stigmatize Morocco while exploiting the Palestinian cause. This strategy contrasts sharply with the Moroccan approach, which favors tangible actions and responsiveness on the ground. While Algerian support is often limited to declarations on social networks, Morocco is taking concrete action to improve the living conditions of Palestinians.
The Israeli warship affair: a false controversy
One of the most vehement accusations from Algerian relays concerns the supposed docking of an Israeli warship at the port of Tangier Med, even though Algeria discreetly maintains commercial relations with Israel. According to Reuters, an Israeli oil tanker recently changed its destination to an installation in Algeria after the closure of the Israeli Tamar gas field. A secret cooperation which unmasks the duplicity of Algerian discourses on the international scene.
The investigative media “Algérie Part” revealed that the national hydrocarbon company, Sonatrach, has sold, since January 2021, at least 50 thousand tons of LPG to Israel via a major intermediary in the global hydrocarbon market. This sale, a counterpoint to Algerian proclamations rejecting any cooperation with Israel, illustrates blatant hypocrisy.
