The section of the RN6, 24 kilometers long on six lanes, has been completely redeveloped. Work on this part of the road, which connects Rabat-Salé airport to the Sidi Allal Bahraoui tollbooth, is nearing completion. They have made it possible to streamline traffic for users going to Meknes and Fez via the highway and the Sidi Allal Bahraoui toll.

The work focused on widening the first section between Salé and El Arjat over nine kilometers. The second segment, which goes from El Arjat to the toll station of Sidi Allal El Bahraoui, a village which has become highly urbanized in recent years, was then developed.

This major project required funding of several tens of millions of dirhams, granted by the Ministry of Equipment and Water. It was carried out by the Rabat development company, an organization reporting to the Ministry of the Interior and the wilaya of Rabat.

Some roads in the region are still badly damaged. Local and territorial authorities could draw inspiration from the work carried out on this section to redevelop the national roads which go from Rabat to Kénitra via the black spot of the village of Sidi Taïbi or from Témara to Skhirat via Ain Atiq.
