Joe Rogan is just the tip of the iceberg. The podcaster, host of the show The Joe Rogan Experience and its 18.4 million YouTube subscribers at the time of writing, had invited Donald Trump a few days before the presidential election to a long three-hour discussion with the Republican candidate. To date, the video has just under 50 million views. If the host of this successful talk show, who supports the billionaire, is not the reason why the latter managed to once again access the White House, he is nevertheless the best-known representative of these alternative media that the Trump campaign has clung to to convey its ideas to voters.

The billionaire has also made appearances with a myriad of content creators and influencers with masculinist views – who, under the guise of denouncing all forms of discrimination, convey sexist, even explicitly misogynist, theories. On November 6, when the fate of the election was sealed and Donald Trump was celebrating his victory, Dana White, president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, drew up a small list of these personalities, varying between comedians, talk show hosts athletes and podcasters: “I want to quickly thank some people: the Nelk Boys, Adin Ross, Theo Von, Bussin’ With The Boys and, finally, the powerful Joe Rogan,” declared the MMA (mixed martial arts) mogul on stage , whose presence during this evening gives some clues about the segment of the population that the billionaire wanted to target in the last moments of his campaign: young men.
