The Casablanca Stock Exchange began trading in good spirits on Wednesday, its flagship index, the MASI, increasing by 0.36% to 14,702.44 points (pts).
Shortly after the opening, the MASI 20, which brings together the 20 most liquid stocks, and the MASI ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, rose, respectively, 0.43% to 1,190, 41 pts and 0.17% to 1,053 pts.
Likewise, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, which evaluates the performance of small and medium-sized listed companies, gained 0.55% to 1,431.81 pts.

On the value front, Sodep-Marsa Maroc (+5.24% to 532.5 DH), Stroc Industrie (+3.19% to 48.5 DH), Alliances (+2.51% to 358.8 DH) , Maghreb Oxygène (+2.08% to 245 DH) and TGCC SA (+1.78% to 466.15 DH) achieved the best performance.
On the other hand, the biggest declines were recorded by Colorado (-2.65% to 51.5 DH), CDM (-1.86% to 1,001 DH), Bank Of Africa (-0.97% to 193 DH) , Hps (-0.87% to 570 DH) and Akdital (-0.28% to 1,075 DH).
On Tuesday, the MASI closed down 0.28%.
