For 20 years, the Movember Foundation has been raising awareness about men's health and inviting them to wear a mustache in November. The Association of Patients with Localized Prostate Cancer (APCLP) is participating in the operation, a means of insisting on prostate cancer screening.
Thursday morning, November 7, the association organized a meeting called “Blue November” at the farm of the Moinault brothers, Lionel and Thierry, in Saint-Léger-de-la-Martinière (delegated commune of Melle), in partnership with the cooperative Terre Atlantique represented by Franck Martinet, technician.
This regional association of Poitiers, created in 2003, listens to patients affected by prostate cancer, providing advice and moral support.
The representatives of Sud Deux-Sèvres, Claude Redien, vice-president, and the administrators Jean-Marie Foucher, Gaston-Pierre Nony and Jean Perochon explain: Being with a farmer who has blue boots for male cancers, yellow boots for children's cancers, pink boots for female cancers. It differentiates the different cuts. Farmers often neglect themselves a little. It's taboo. We always push back. We see in the population of farmers that there are quite a few men suffering from this cancer. On the road to Melle, at the exit of Mardre, you can see this large hangar with all its different colors
