Rabat – The Minister of Transport and Logistics, Abdessamad Kayouh, indicated, Monday in Rabat, that his department is working to direct investments planned in the sector towards projects aimed at developing and improving the quality of services, strengthening digitalization and introduce new technologies.
Responding to an oral question on “incentivizing investors in the transport sector” from the group of the National Rally of Independents during the oral question session in the House of Representatives, Mr. Kayouh affirmed that his department is also working to improve the competitiveness of the sector, to qualify its personnel, to strengthen the efficiency of investments and to consolidate the public-private partnership, particularly in the field of the aeronautics industry, while strengthening cooperation with local authorities.
Regarding support for private investment in the transport and logistics sectors, the minister indicated that the government is working to make public investments in these areas a lever to implement industrial activities linked to transport. and logistics in the country, like the railway and aeronautical industries.
In this regard, he noted that the aeronautics industry is experiencing a huge leap, to the extent that Morocco is now a leader in this field and occupies the first position in Africa.
