Following the conclusion of an agreement which offered an image of unity on the left, with the Socialist Party, the Ecologists or the Communist Party with a view to the legislative elections, La France insoumise (LFI) decided not to invest several historical figures of the movement including Raquel Garrido, Alexis Corbière and Danielle Simonnet. The outgoing LFI deputies Hendrik Davi (Bouches-du-Rhône) and Frédéric Mathieu (Ille-et-Vilaine) were also not invested.

These protesting figures of LFI denounce a “purge”. Their non-inauguration immediately ignited the powder, revealing the fragilities of the left team: several voices expressed their amazement at a decision deemed incomprehensible. For Clémentine Autain, it is a “purge”. François Ruffin speaks of “stupidity” and of “sectarianism”. They themselves, despite being rebellious, were given the nomination.
