This cinema, founded in 1937 and which houses the largest theater in Paris after the Grand Rex, organized an auction before closing its doors permanently this Thursday evening.

This Thursday, June 13 afternoon, the UGC Normandie is experiencing its last hours in a rather unusual way. The emblematic Champs-Élysées cinema, founded in 1937 and which bows out this Thursday evening, organized an auction of its iconic furniture as a final clap.

Scattered throughout one of the most beautiful cinemas in Paris – the second in size after the Grand Rex – hands are raised to bid, here on a row of blue armchairs, there on the letters of the logo “Normandy”, or on the plaques indicating the rows. Around thirty buyers or curious people are present.
