The Caesar is not only everyone’s favourite Sunday morning/afternoon drink, it’s also considered Canada’s national cocktail. It’s no wonder that a Toronto hotel decided to host a special Caesar, dedicated to Canada Day.

The Sheraton Center Toronto presented its latest limited-time show, “The Ultimate Caesar,” this week to celebrate Canada Day.

This is a drink with many layers, so let’s break it down.

According to the hotel, the specialty cocktail is made with premium spirits, horseradish blend and house-made jalapeno pepper.

The drink is served over dry ice, then topped with maple-glazed smoked bacon, succulent Atlantic lobster claws, East Coast clams, beef croquettes, grilled octopus, beef sliders and an assortment of vegetables.

The Ultimate Caesar is available during the month of July at 43 Down (the Lobby Lounge at the Sheraton Center Toronto.)

If you are wondering what is the cost? This multi-layered Caesar will cost you $72.

The Caesar has truly come a long way since its invention by Walter Chell in Calgary in 1969.

While we usually enjoy our own drinks, you might want to share this one!

Happy Canada Day, Toronto!
