Quebecer Anthony Mantha seems to have acclimatized very easily to the Calgary Flames.
That’s what he said Tuesday morning, a few hours before his team’s visit to the Bell Center for a duel against the Montreal Canadiens.

Taking advantage of his complete autonomy, Mantha signed a one-year contract worth $3.5 million with the Alberta team.
“They signed me to play my game and be the best player I can be. That’s what they expect from me,” said the man who has collected seven points in 12 games so far with his new club.
This is the Longueillois’ fourth team in the National League, he who also wore the colors of the Detroit Red Wings, the Washington Capitals and the Vegas Golden Knights.
“The transition was very easy,” he said, adding that his new teammate Jonathan Huberdeau helped him find a house to rent. “Once I got to the rink, after a few practices and meeting everyone, I felt at home. A hockey team looks the same from one locker room to another.”
Mantha also plays with Huberdeau in the Flames’ third trio. The two wingers surround center player Yegor Sharangovich.
“Jo, he sure likes to control the puck. He is an excellent passer. If you are able to create space for him, he will make the right choices and [prendre] good offensive decisions very easily. Sharangovich brings speed, which frees up even more space. My role is to go to the net and it pays off [à] our line.”
