A medical and awareness caravan was organized last Sunday in Fez, for the benefit of more than 120 people suffering from diabetes.
This humanitarian initiative, organized under the sign “Chole-Stop” at the initiative of the delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Fez in partnership with the association of the “Al Oulfa” forum for the development of the family and the “Sun Pharma” laboratory, benefited nearly 120 diabetics.
The caravan, which is part of the celebration of World Diabetes Day which coincides with November 14 each year, included medical consultations for the benefit of people with diabetes and the distribution of blood pressure measuring devices. blood sugar.
It also included awareness sessions and courses on the complications of diabetes, while drawing the attention of beneficiaries to the need for prevention in order to fight this disease and avoid its complications.
According to Zakia Marsou, head of the network of health establishments at the delegation of Health and Social Protection (MSPS) in Fez, the caravan is part of the efforts of the Ministry of Health to preserve public health and raise awareness. to the severity of diabetes as a chronic disease.
The initiative, which is part of the commemoration of World Diabetes Day, offered beneficiaries specialized medical consultations while ensuring follow-up of certain cases, she added.
