As a reminder, Linky is the name of the communicating electricity meter designed by Enedis, a subsidiary of EDF responsible for managing the French electricity network. It began to be deployed in 2016 to replace older models, notably the famous blue electromechanical devices that appeared in 1963.
Today, it is part of the lives of 37.3 million French households, representing an equipment rate of more than 94%. Linky introduces modern communication tools, by CPL (power line carrier) and by radio waves, in order to allow customers to measure their consumption and therefore better control it.
