Tangier – The city of Tangier welcomed, on Wednesday, a leading Spanish delegation, operating in the sectors of red meat, white meat and dairy products, on the occasion of a business meeting aimed at promoting bilateral cooperation in these key sectors.
Organized jointly by the Regional Investment Center of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region (CRI TTA), the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM-TTA) and the Morocco-Spain Economic Council (CEMAES), this meeting was a real springboard to stimulate investments in a rapidly expanding agri-food sector, indicate the organizers in a press release.
This business meeting offered a platform conducive to exchanges and strategic reflection, with thematic panels, round tables and B2B meetings, specified the same source, noting that Moroccan and Spanish experts, as well as institutional actors , discussed the challenges and opportunities offered by the agro-industrial sector, a strategic sector for Morocco’s food security, as well as economic growth and job creation through innovative solutions capable of strengthening synergies between both country.

The theme of regulation and support for investment in the agro-industry was also addressed through the presentation of the latest developments in the regulation of food safety and quality, as well as the support systems put in place. in place to support businesses in the agri-food sector.
Experts shared support and financing opportunities intended to encourage sustainable investment and strengthen the competitiveness of companies operating in this strategic sector.
Furthermore, an important part of this event was dedicated to B2B meetings between Moroccan and Spanish companies, allowing direct exchanges, networking and the conclusion of targeted partnerships, noted the press release, indicating that these sessions promoted the creation of synergies and the initiation of concrete projects in the red, white meat and dairy sectors, thus contributing to the integration of value chains and the consolidation of bilateral trade relations.
It should be noted that the agri-food sector in Morocco and the TTA region, particularly in the meat and dairy sectors, is experiencing full growth and constitutes a strategic lever for the economic development of the region.
