GRAND STEEPLE-CHASE OF COMPIEGNE (GR.2). A true metronome at Group level, Arnaud Chaillé-Chaillé’s protégé Le Philosophe (Doctor Dino) achieved the greatest success of his career in the Grand Steeple-Chase de Compiègne (Gr.2). He returns to the success that had eluded him since the end of May 2023. Ridden in the middle of the peloton by Gaëtan Masure, Le Philosophe announces himself at the start of the straight, jumping the last on the line of the first, he breaks away on the dish and dominates Kyrov (Dark Angel) who had accompanied him in his effort. Coming very easily from the straight line, the favorite General in Chief (Martaline) marks time a little in the last meters and is content with third place.
Wearing the coat of Jean-Michel Bazire, Le Philosophe is a student of Haras du Buff. His dam Conceptuelle (Stormy River) is a sister to Strike One, who placed second in the Summer Cup (Gr.2), and to Lavandou, the dam of Cavalière, 2nd in the Prix Fille de l’Air (Gr. 3), and Captain Conan, who won four times at Gr.1 level over the steeplechase in England.
