The Reformist Platform, right wing of the Swiss Socialist Party (PS), rejects the initiative of the Young Socialists (JS) on the inheritance tax, which it considers populist. The movement elected Daniel Jositsch as president after the resignation of Erich Fehr.

During an extraordinary general meeting held the day before in Zurich, the Reformist Platform unanimously rejected the JS’s initiative on the inheritance tax, it said in a press release on Saturday. For her, the text is particularly harmful for the Swiss economic center, and focused on an announcement effect.

The assembly also elected as its president the Socialist State Councilor from Zurich Daniel Jositsch, who succeeds the mayor of Biel Erich Fehr, who resigned. Simon Jacob becomes vice-president after the resignation of Yvonne Feri.
