Porto’s official announcement on Sergio Conceiçao

Zapping Onze Mondial EXCLUDED: Randal Kolo Muani’s “Little Brother” interview!

The more the days pass, the more the Sergio Conceiçao file seems to be progressing in a favorable manner for OM. Since the arrival of André Villas-Boas at the head of FC Porto, the departure of the Portuguese coach has become inevitable, and this departure has been officially confirmed in recent hours.

Indeed, a meeting took place yesterday to mark the end of Conceiçao’s adventure in Porto and the Lusitanian club, during the night, published an official press release to confirm that the former Nantes coach would leave the club very soon. It remains to be seen whether OM will succeed in convincing him to take up the Marseille challenge.

The FC Porto press release

The Futebol Clube do Porto – Futebol, SAD informs, for the effects of article 17, paragraph 1, of Regulation (EU) n.º 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 16, following the news broadcast this evening in the media concerning the contract of coach Sérgio Conceição:

  • The coach has a contract with this company which ends on June 30, 2024, and which will be fully respected by both parties;

  • Regarding the agreement for the extension of the employment contract for another four years, communicated on April 25, 2024 and which was to come into force on July 1, 2024, the coach announced publicly today that he had carried out the unilateral termination of the latter, in accordance with the option granted to him under the terms of this contract. The employment relationship between the parties will therefore end on June 30, 2024.

This termination does not imply the payment of any sum by FC Porto – Futebol, SAD (apart, of course, from salaries and bonuses relating to the contract still in force).
