Connecting artists and local businesses to provide visibility to the former and entertainment to the latter (and vice versa!). This is the original concept that Audrey Lavau is launching this July in the city center of Clermont-Ferrand.

At 22, Audrey Lavau founded Galaded with the ambition of forging links between artists and the public, a desire that she sums up in a slogan: “the culture of your home near you”.

The idea has been floating around in the head of this young entrepreneurial student in modern literature for several years now. At 16, when she published her first heroic fantasy novel with Ecritorium, Audrey quickly realized the difficulties independent artists had in making themselves known.

The dream of a cultural café

After Covid and the isolation it brought, she dreams of opening a cultural café. Lacking resources, she imagines another project: using existing cafés to host cultural events (conferences, exhibitions, dedications, workshops, readings, etc.).

First meeting on July 4

Supported by the Clermont Auvergne PEPITE network, which guides students in their entrepreneurial project, Audrey has already won over several venues and artists. Her first program of events (all free) will be launched on Thursday, July 4, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the tea room restaurant The 31st (rue Lamartine). The public will be able to discover the photos of Claude Cohen and the albums oriented on world cultures from the youth editions Cipango.

The calendar will then open to authors Emma Hoffner (thriller/horror), Virginie Bonnier (youth), Galina Kojanova (story/personal development) and the designer Samantha.
