The Rennes group Legendre completes a small acquisition in Switzerland

The Rennes Legendre group continues its international development. The construction and real estate specialist announces this Thursday, June 27, an investment in the Swiss company D’Orlando General Contractor. A family company which employs around fifteen employees and whose turnover remains confidential. In a press release, Legendre indicates that it has become a majority shareholder, for a undisclosed amount.

This merger gives rise to a new entity, D’Orlando-Legendre, whose management falls to Clément Jacob. He already managed Legendre’s activities in Switzerland, where the group has been established since 2022 and the opening of an agency in Lausanne.

Clément Jacob is responsible for “carrying out the integration of D’Orlando Entreprise générale within the Legendre group and managing the development of the Swiss market for this new branch”.

Created in 2019, D’Orlando General Contractor is a sister company of the structural work company Claudio D’Orlando, which went bankrupt in June 2023, leading to the dismissal of some 160 employees. Within D’Orlando-Legendre will be accompanied by Fabrice D’Orlando, the former director of Claudio D’Orlando.

With a turnover of one billion euros and 2,400 employees, Legendre has made international one of its main areas of development. In addition to Switzerland, the group is present in the United Kingdom, Jersey and Portugal. It aims to achieve a quarter of its turnover abroad by 2030.
