Strasbourg – The Kingdom of Morocco was unanimously re-elected as vice-president of the Executive Committee of the European Center for Global Interdependence and Solidarity, under the Council of Europe, commonly known as the “Northern Center South”.

The reappointment of Morocco as vice-president of the said Committee, for a new two-year term, comes within the framework of the renewal of the statutory bodies of the North-South Center, following the elections which took place during the 32nd meeting of the Executive Committee, held on May 21, 2024, in Lisbon.

In addition to reflecting the quality of the rich and multidimensional relations linking the Kingdom of Morocco and the Council of Europe, through a lasting and constructive political dialogue, an operational cooperation involving the majority of institutional and non-institutional actors. -Moroccan governments, and a resolute normative rapprochement translated by the dynamic of building a common legal space, this re-election reinforces Morocco’s position as a reliable and credible partner of the North-South Center, while consolidating its convincing commitment to the realization of the Center’s missions and shared ownership of its action.
