Hasan Koyuncu was notably involved in an event at the Brussels Parliament during which an imam recited a surah at the lectern. The Brussels deputy, mayoral candidate in Schaerbeek and first municipal scorer, subsequently assured that he was a “defender of the separation of church and state […] I never authorized anything. I simply wanted to be of service to people, to an association who wanted to visit the people’s house that is Parliament. Indeed, what happened is intolerable.”

Coming back to Mustafa Yaman, from the rigging community like Hasan Koyuncu, he had already been elected to Anderlecht in 2018 on the Défi list. He announced at the end of his term to join the MR and sit as an independent. But his presence on the municipal council clearly did not make an impression. “We saw him two three times at the start of his term and then not at all.” a municipal councilor told us a few months ago. “Yaman? Contacted, Mustafa Yaman does not yet know if he will follow the line of the new Anderlecht majority: “I still have to think about it but I will continue my commitment to living together and respecting all citizens regardless of origin or belief.”
