I have the great pleasure of making, at the invitation of President Emmanuel Macron, my third state visit to France. For the Chinese, France has a unique charm. It is the birthplace of so many great philosophers, writers and artists who have inspired humanity. More than 150 years ago, French people participated in the development of shipbuilding in Fujian and the establishment of the Fujian Naval School. France was one of the first countries to welcome Chinese government scholarship holders before receiving on its soil, a century ago, young Chinese students, some eminent of whom made a remarkable contribution to the founding and development of the New China.
