– The Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah, met on Friday in Paris with the Secretary General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Mathias Cormann.

These interviews, which took place in the presence of the Moroccan Ambassador to , Samira Sitaïl, took place on the occasion of Ms. Fettah’s participation in the work of the Council Meeting at the level of Ministers (RCM) of OECD (May 2-3).

During this meeting, the two parties discussed strengthening cooperation and relations between the Kingdom and the international organization.

Ms. Fettah and Mr. Cormann also discussed Morocco’s presence within the various OECD institutions.

On the sidelines of her participation in this RCM, Ms. Fettah also had meetings with several ministers and officials of international and regional organizations.

The RCM is, of all OECD events, the one which takes place at the highest level, bringing together ministers of Finance, Economy, Foreign Affairs, Trade and other ministries of Member and Partner countries. the OECD, and representatives of international organizations.

This year, the RCM is being held under the theme “creating the momentum for change together: leading global debates by adopting objective and reliable approaches in support of sustainable and inclusive growth”.

The 2024 MCM, chaired by Japan and vice-chaired by Mexico and the Netherlands, provides Members and non-Members with the opportunity to engage in high-level discussions on the issues decisive challenges facing the international community today.
