New features to improve our productivity
In a constant search for productivity optimization, Slack AI can now automatically summarize channel discussions to provide key points and outlines to follow. A valuable time saver for employees in the same company. Indeed, this avoids everyone from exchanging lengthy messages! This new feature complements the existing one that allows you to automatically transcribe audio files (sometimes a little abstract, we grant you) and provide conversation summaries.
Slack AI can now also help us generate relevant responses based on the context of the conversation as well as editorial suggestions to improve clarity and information shared, while maintaining the tone used on each discussion channel.
The latest innovation is AI-powered search, which allows users to obtain personalized and precise answers. The references for these are themselves taken from the files, documents and external directories of the user in question. The results of these searches are provided in particular from the company’s public exchanges as well as the user’s personal conversations.

Like any AI innovation, this one also raises the question of the confidentiality of companies’ data and its users. Especially since Slack AI will be directly integrated into the platform and will therefore have direct access to confidential information. The company has spoken out on the subject, stating that transparency and trust are essential at Salesforce. Slack is thus respecting security and compliance practices and guaranteeing that the data used will remain internal.
Currently, Slack AI is available as a paid add-on to Slack Enterprise subscriptions, at €10 per person (per month).
