It was one of the most anticipated returns of 2024. In mid-November, Clara Luciani ended a three-year wait by publishing “Mon sang”, a third album largely inspired by her motherhood, she who became a mother of a little boy with Alex Kapranos, singer of the group Franz Ferdinand. A new role that she fully embraces and that she evokes on the titles “Tout pour moi”, “Mon sang” or “Roule”, while also talking about family ties, her career or friendly breakups. However, although the reviews were very positive, sales of “Mon sang” were less successful than expected. Entry third in the rankings behind Linkin Park and Damso, Clara Luciani quickly left the top 10, where “Coeur” had hung there for 10 consecutive weeks. But the end-of-year holidays allowed the singer to regain color in the charts: ultimately, “Mon sang” ended the year 2024 with 53,000 sales recorded in six weeks, enough to allow her to win a gold record. Over the same period but in the middle of summer, “Coeur”, which entered the top of the Top, was acclaimed 60,200 times.

“I know this album is different”
This award goes straight to the heart of Clara Luciani. In an Instagram story, the interpreter of “Breathe Again” thanks the public for this welcome, even if she recognizes that the universe of “My blood” is less mainstream than her previous hit machine: “ I know this album is different, more sensitive and introspective. I know it’s not necessarily the one you’ll put in your living room tomorrow night [le 31 décembre, ndlr] for the caterpillar (…) but what is great is to measure both your curiosity and your loyalty “. For the 32-year-old musician, starring in the film “Joli Jolie”, this is the famous album of maturity: “ I’ve shed my skin, left my glitter skin behind and you’re here to keep me warm. Thank you for loving all my faces. (…) “My Blood” is full of surprises and readings ».
During a joint interview with Laura Felpin for Francetv Slash, Clara Luciani believes she has put all her heart into this third opus: “ My album is me, my life, my story, everything is about me. Where the film [“Joli joli”]there is something more comfortable: if people criticize it, I don’t have the impression of being personally affected. I feel like if people don’t like my album, they don’t like me “. She also spoke about the ephemeral nature of success: “ I have a hard time understanding this new popularity status. I tell myself it happened overnight, and I’m already preparing for it to go away. It’s super important to me, it’s something of wisdom. It’s there and it’s not there “. There is no doubt that Clara Luciani will be able to count on the support of fans with her new tour, which begins in a few days in Amiens before two sold-out concerts at the Accor Arena in Paris in March.
