To celebrate this new year 2025, the streaming platform has decided to please Squid Game fans, in its own way. His gift: the first images revealed from season 3 of the successful South Korean series.
Squid Game (Netflix): an impatiently awaited season 2
It is the most watched series in the history of Netflix with a cumulative total of more than 2 billion hours viewed worldwide. This success is due to the super original plot which denounces, through fiction, a brutal and ultraliberalist. Candidates are desperate and participate in nightmarish games, in order to have a better life. Squid Game is also named to Golden Globes 2025 in the category of “Best Drama Series“.
This second season is marked by games that are as ruthless as ever. We obviously find Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), who in this sequel seeks revenge on the organizers. We also meet new candidates. And, as usual, the Squid Game series knows how to keep you in suspense because there is still so much mystery.

What does Netflix tell us about season 3 of Squid Game?
Obviously the famous doll “Chul-su” is back for his 1,2,3 soleilfrom hell. In the caption of this trailer, the streaming platform indicated: “Everyone say hello to Chul-sul”. And these images can be seen at the end of the credits of the last episode of season 2. Yes, only some were patient and attentive enough to discover these images from season 3 of Squid Game, exclusively!
This season 3 should mark a turning point and an important evolution of the character Seong Gi-hun. In an interview for the American media Variety, the creator of the series, Hwang Dong-hyuk, also spoke about the release date. According to him, the next season of Squid Game would be scheduled for summer or fall 2025. Information which has just been validated in the new images of season 3 revealed by the Netflix video.
