The Plaisir stations, which belong to Arsenal Media and which are broadcast in five stations in Quebec, namely Victoriaville, Thetford Mines, Matane and Sept-Îles, will henceforth be called VIVA.
In addition, the WOW station, operated under license in Abitibi, will also become VIVA.
This new name was unveiled this Friday on all of the group’s stations and will be launched on January 7 at 10 a.m.
It is by adopting a more contemporary signature, with a unique musical identity combining an adult sound
contemporary to a sound new country that VIVA intends to charm its listeners.
“At each stage of the development of this brand, we made sure to be even more relevant for our audience and our advertisers and therefore focus on innovation. VIVA will therefore have its own personality which will admirably complement our two other radio brands, namely O et Hit Country. VIVA intends to maintain its achievements while attracting a new audience, who will discover all the vitality of the new image and programming” underlines the president of Arsenal Media, Sylvain Chamberland.
The transformation begins today with a 100% Christmas holiday program and will culminate on January 4 at 7 a.m. with a big special: LONG LIVE the Top 500during which the audience will be able to discover the greatest hits of this unique product.
“VIVA, like all our brands, will take root in the communities it serves. It was never a question of copying and pasting. Local information and regional particularities remain at the heart of our daily actions,” assures Sylvain Chamberland.
VIVA’s new website and various social platforms have been online since Friday afternoon: viva1019.com / viva1053.com / viva1055.com / viva941.com / viva965.com
