In an interview for the famous media GQ, which crowned Metro Boomin and Future as the two hitmakers of the year 2024, producer Metro Boomin wanted to explain himself by revealing why he accepted that the clash begins on his project, on one of his pieces.

Drake and I had a personal problem, and for the record, it didn't involve a girl or anything ridiculous like that. He did something that really hurt and disappointed me.

As for the rumor that he is an evil genius who has been preparing his two albums for two years to send a big middle finger to Drakehe insisted on sweeping it away:

Do people really think we sat down for two years, making two albums to say “fuck this guy”? But who does that, man. Do you really think we're going to spend that much time, effort and resources just to insult a guy on an album? By blowing up budgets?

He then explains why he started attacking Drake on the networks during the clash, notably via Twitter:

Now, it’s true that I let myself go on Twitter, and I regret it. I should have been stronger than that. That doesn't look like me. But after a while, I don't rap, you know? So you're just going to shit on me in all your songs… I'm not going to let it go, so yeah, I'm going to tweet at you.

Fairly clear words, even if he ultimately did not reveal the underlying reason for the clash with Drake. On the other hand, on Future's side, it's hidden…

Future is hiding

We had the news a few days ago: Drake and Future would have “reconciled”, or at least they spoke on the phone in order to ease tensions, something which seems to have worked. So much so that Future even forgot that there had been a clash:

According to the journalist, Future would have released this sentence with a little smirk. The rapper explains, however, that he would have could have been angry, since he had every reason to be, he who was not even mentioned as a member of the “Big 3”the sentence which served to light the fire of the clash.
