here is the price at which they sold their house in Normandy, to radically change their lives

United in front of the cameras of Married at First Sight in 2021, Laure and Matthieu sold their house to embark on a new project.

Every year, in Married at first sight, couples formed by science meet at the altar. During season 8, only two couples remained married after the experiment, Tracy and Flo, and Alice and Florian. Unfortunately, despite the high compatibility percentages, few couples from previous seasons are still married. In fact, there are only two of them, Pauline and Damien (season 6) and Laure and Matthieu (season 5). These two couples seem as in love as the first day and have become parents! Laure and Matthieu, who until then lived in Normandy, are embarking on a new adventure.

A look back at the story of Laure and Matthieu, who fell in love in Married at first sight

79% compatible according to science, Laure and Matthieu have come a long way since their participation in Married at first sight. After saying to himself “Yes” in front of the M6 cameras, the couple developed a strong bond and remains very united to this day. At the end of the experience, they announced that they were expecting their first child. From their love, little Lya was born, in August 2021. The two happy parents then regularly share snapshots of their daily lives and seem to flourish in this role.

More recently, Laure and Matthieu announced that they are going to be parents for the second time. On Instagram, in February, the two lovers unveiled the video of their gender reveal, which then reveals the sex of the unborn child. Lya will then have a little sister in the coming months!

“In almost 4 years we have done a lot!! 1 marriage without knowing each other, an adorable little girl, 1 completely renovated and magnificent house and now a new page… Last weekend in our beautiful house all together, next week we sets off towards new horizons and soon a new little princess to complete our new cocoon”Laure wrote on her Instagram account on June 1, 2024.

From Normandy to the Grand-Est

A few years ago, Laure left her Parisian apartment to join her husband in Normandy. They then lived for several years in Eure, in a house that they renovated. Last February, Lya’s mother shared the announcement of the sale of this 10-room house, with 384 m² of living space, with “closed and wooded plot of 1898 m²” and located “in a dead end of a small village, just 3 minutes from the town of Saint-André-de-l’Eure”.

“The house, renovated and built on three floors, consists of a double living room, a veranda, a billiard room, a fitted and equipped dining kitchen, a cellar, a master suite, three other bedrooms, a games room, a cocooning/dormitory space, a cinema room and even a 30m² balcony”reports Purepeople. For this property, Laure and Matthieu asked for 565,000 euros, with a specific project in mind.

This house finally found a buyer, which allowed them to move to the other side of France. Indeed, the little family will settle down in Nancy. “We were originally considering the south but with the arrival of baby 2 etc. we decided to stay in familiar territory! Back to basics, after almost 4 years with Matthieu’s family, we are getting closer to mine”explained Laure on her Instagram account.
