After a sensational season, Moroccan international Ayoub El Kaabi is in the sights of clubs across Europe. Recently, José Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe accelerated negotiations by sending an interesting offer to the player.

El Kaabi, at the peak of his career, is attracting the attention of clubs across Europe. Among the options available to him, staying at Olympiacos in Greece with a proposed two-year contract extension, or joining Italy with Bologna, Genoa and Torino who are interested in his profile, or even opting for a golden retreat in the Gulf with Al-Ahli and Al-Shabab. However, the latest rumors suggest a move to Turkey.

According to Foot Mercato, José Mourinho, recently appointed head of Fenerbahçe, is actively looking for a center forward and has targeted the Atlas Lion. Negotiations have gained momentum with an interesting offer sent by the leaders of the Istanbul club, who hope to reach an agreement early next week.

This transfer would mark El Kaabi’s return to Turkey, where he has already played for two years with Hatayspor from 2021 to 2023. Author of 26 goals and four assists in 55 matches, his stint was interrupted by the 2023 earthquake in Turkey and Syria, forcing the club to forfeit the entire season.

With Olympiacos, the Casablanca native shone. With 3,462 minutes played in 50 games for 33 goals and three assists, the Moroccan had the best statistical season of his career.

His Europa Conference League run with Olympiacos was successful, with the Greek club winning the trophy for the first time in their history. El Kaabi was a key player in this competition, scoring eleven goals and providing an assist in the final stages.
