MUSIC – An unexpected encounter. After Fever in duet with Angèle, Dua Lipa offers us this Friday, November 8, a collaboration with another Belgian singer in the person of Pierre de Maere. On this new version of These Wallsa song from his latest album Radical Optimism, the two artists evoke with melancholy a love doomed to failure.

On this catchy ballad, Dua Lipa tells the story of a couple and two lovers who are torn apart. “If these walls could talk, they would say “enough” she sings. The remix allows the French-speaking interpreter of Un one day I will marry an angel to add a verse which accentuates both the inevitable attraction of lovers, but also the inevitability of their relationship.

“I ruined everything of course,” thus begins the Belgian artist's verse, before moving on to the story of the roller coaster that their relationship represents. In a second part of the chorus, sung in French by both Pierre de Maere and the British-Albanian star, both “defeated lovers” conclude their “last meeting”.

A project a little below expectations from a commercial point of view but still certified gold with us. To defend him, the interpreter ofHoudini launched a series of concerts that began in Singapore this Tuesday, November 5 and which should last almost a year until October 2025.
