As Sepultura continues its farewell tour to celebrate its 40-year career, Andreas Kisser, guitarist and longtime pillar of the band, recently spoke about his wish to reunite all the former members, including Max and Iggor Cavalera, for their final concert planned for 2026 in São Paulo. This event would be the pinnacle of a legendary career and mark the end of the Brazilian group's history. At the same time, Sepultura is working on a live album bringing together the most intense moments of this tour.

A tribute to fans and a symbolic reconciliation

In an interview given to Moshpit PassionKisser explained that the idea of reuniting the former members, despite past tensions, is primarily a gesture aimed at the fans. “We want to invite all former members, including the Cavalera brothers, to celebrate with us. It would be a great celebration for the fans,” he declared. Acknowledging the divergent perspectives that existed within the group, he added: “We don't care who is right or wrong. We have different perspectives on the same events. So let’s make for the fans, for ourselves, and close this chapter in peace.”

A live compilation to immortalize the farewell tour

Sepultura is also working on an ambitious live album, aiming to capture 40 iconic songs in 40 cities around the world. Since the start of the tour in March 2024, the group has thrilled crowds in Latin America, Asia, and North America, with an end of the year planned in Europe. This project, more than a simple compilation, seeks to preserve the raw energy and emotion felt during this historic tour, offering a vibrant testimony to the power of Sepultura.

New projects for members after Sepultura

Once this tour is completed, Andreas Kisser and Derrick Green plan to embark on new musical horizons. Kisser plans to devote himself to acoustic guitar and educational projects around the music of Sepultura. As for Derrick Green, he wants to develop his show Highway To Health and explore musical projects outside of Metal. Together, they are even considering a reggae project, a way to get off the beaten track and explore new styles.
